Third-Party PS3 Controllers

Information on Non-Official PS3 Controllers
If you are not a fan of the official PS3 controller, then you can find various third-party controllers. There are a variety of third-party controllers that have different features and a different grip than the official one.
One of the biggest names in the third-party controllers is Nyko. They have been making controllers and accessories for all of the consoles for a long time. They have controllers that have rubber grips, a hand-cooling system that keeps your hands from sweating, a better D-Pad, and depending on who tries it, a comfy grip. They also started using rumble in their controllers before Sony was allowed to in the official PS3 controllers.
Another big third-party name when it comes to the PS3 controller is Logitech. Logitech is also known for making other accessories like headsets. Logitech's PS3 controllers often have a good grip, and a better D-Pad. They also brought wireless controllers to the PlayStation 2.
A brand that makes a strange, but unique style of controllers is Mad Catz. Many of their controllers are cheaper than the official PS3 controller, and can sport a look that many like. They also have grips so you can hold the controller better. You can also find controllers designed for specific games by them too, such as the "FightPad" which is a good PS3 controller for the fighting games.
There are a great amount of third-party PS3 controllers out there by a variety of companies. Companies like Logitech, Mad Catz, and Nyko have proven to be successful controller manufacturers. If you do not like the official PS3 controller, then a controller by them is definitely the way to go.
